Hi there,

My name is Fiona, and this is my blog.  I really hope you’ll stick around; I have a lot of things that I want to say.

As a sophomore in college, I have lived and experienced a lot, and I want to share my knowledge and experience with you. I am 21 years old, and some days I can’t believe that this is happening. Sometimes in my mind, I am still that 15-year-old girl working her way through her first years of high school.

My roommate is my cat, Dobby, who is the best roommate ever, even though he sometimes tries to stop me from leaving for class. Dobby is a ragdoll cat. He came home in August of 2016, when he was almost 4 months old,  and we have been virtually inseparable since then.

I want this blog to be a place where you can come for advice. I am only one girl, living in a fairly large world (which has a population of nearly 7.5 billion humans); which means that I will only be able to write on my experience. I do not attempt to write in a field in which I have no experience. Going along with that statement, all posts and opinions shared on here will be my own, and from my own experience. The categories I have in mind so far are education, animals, and general advice.

You can ask me anything, and I will try to find the answer. I have spent a lot of time on the internet researching questions, mostly wanting to know that I belong and someone else is doing this. That’s where I hope to come in handy. My dream, when I was younger, would have been to stumble upon a blog answering all my questions, and where I could ask a question and not feel judged for it.

My hobbies include photography, horseback riding, playing with animals, teaching, learning, playing on the internet, and reading. I also enjoy playing video games; my favorites at the moment are Borderlands 2 and Skyrim. In addition, I also used to take ballet classes. I enjoyed it, even though I was never very good. The main reason why I wasn’t able to stick with it was because I started too late. I took ballet when I was younger but then switched to gymnastics. After that, I switched to horseback riding and re-started ballet when I was 16. It was really difficult being in a beginner ballet class with 12-year-olds when I was 16.

I have been around animals all of my life. In fact, my first word was ‘quack’ when my parents took me to visit a duck pond when I was younger. I have always loved animals, and this coupled with my love for science is why I want to become a veterinarian.

An interesting fact about me is that I am named after the main character in Secret of Roan Inish. It’s an amazing movie about a family living by the sea. They have to move, and Fiona, along with her cousin, fixes up their old houses on the island for them to move back to. My parents did a good job at naming me; I like to believe that I am spunky, just like Fiona.

Feel free to let me know what you think! If you’d like to follow my blog for updates whenever I post new content, you can sign up for that in the right-hand sidebar. Also found there is a link to my public facebook page, where I will be posting updates about my blog, as well as daily life.
