I offer a combination of pet sitting and house sitting, meaning I stay with your pet at your house for the specified length of time. I find that this helps the animal(s) stay calmer, as they are in their own space with their own stuff, you don’t have to worry about transportation of your beloved pet(s) and their necessities. If you are gone for an extended period of time, someone is also around to take care of and live in the house, deterring thoughts of burglary, and giving peace of mind in the case of a household emergency.

I like to bring my camera and will occasionally take professional quality photos of your pet, which you can find here on my website under a personal password-protected gallery. If you would like to purchase a print of these photos, those are also available through my website. Photos of your pet from my pet sitting service are free for you to download with a watermark.
Even if I do not take professional quality photos of your pet during my stay, I will still snap photos with my phone camera to send to you. I love sending you updates and keeping you informed about your pet.

Several factors go into pricing, and I am always willing to work with you to find a price that fits us both. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns about my pricing.

I schedule an in-person visit with you and your pet(s) prior to committing to dates so that I can meet you and your animal(s) and make sure that everyone feels comfortable. This time is also used to show me the layout of the house and the daily routine. I also ask that the daily routine is in a typed format, printed out for me at the time of your departure.

I charge $0.50 per mile for car travel from Port Townsend. Please reach out with your location so I can plan my route and any additional tolls or fees to make sure we’re on the same page.

Please make arrangements with your local vet in the case of an emergency. Let them know the dates that I will be with your pet, as well as your contact and payment information. Nobody likes to think of a potential emergency, but planning for them lessens the anxiety, should the unthinkable happen. I charge $1/mile for any vet visits that should occur to cover my gas and wear and tear on the car. Please contact me if you are uncomfortable with this for any reason. Cost of transportation should not be a reason not to seek vet care, and I want to work with you to ensure the best care for your pet, as well as peace of mind for you.
If the unthinkable happens, I will do my best to be in contact with you every step of the way. In ALL circumstances, the health and well-being of your animal comes first.

Please have everything that your animal needs at your location prior to leaving – this includes water, food, treats, cat litter, dog bags, and anything else that is essential! Make sure there are enough supplies for your whole trip, plus a few days.

I charge for the day I arrive until the day you get back. Even if you get back at 10 am on the 2nd, I still charge for that day. If you are unsure of the number of days, contact me. I want to make sure that there are no surprises at the end of your trip.
I am fine taking payment in full after you return, half up front and half when you get back, or any other arrangement that we both agree upon prior to my arrival. I accept cash, check, and PayPal. If paying with PayPal, make sure the amount that goes to me is the amount you owe me. In some circumstances, PayPal will impose a fee that cuts into my earnings.

I rely on the Internet for many things, including reliable communication. Please ensure that I have access to your wireless network prior to leaving. If you do not have one, please contact me.

If you plan to get back after 10 pm, please be prepared for me to stay the night. I also charge for the extra day (if you get back after 10 pm on the 2nd, you will be asked to pay me for the 3rd). I do this to avoid disruptions to your pet’s schedule as well as to my own. If you are unable to agree to this, please contact me. To make this work, I require either a guest bed, a sleeping bag, or a couch. Please let me know if I need to bring my own sheets.
